I think this a great post Dan. I actually find accounting and technology very similar. Both are very logical, linear as well as black and white fields. There is no room for grey with numbers and in technology, it works or it doesn’t. I think it is also quite interesting how what we do has become who we are…… Why can’t what we do be what we enjoy getting paid for versus defining us as individuals.

Oh for sure… that is just it, EVERYONE writes crappy code. I just don’t like Apple acting like they are so immune. They are backing off that stance though anyway. Saying “we’re hack/virus free” is like sending out an invitation that has written on it “PLEASE ATTACK US MORE”.
